To setup kNOw SIGN on your own follow the steps below!

Components used:

  • Raspberry Pi 4B (other versions may work)
  • Raspberry Pi Camera Module V2.1
  • OLED SH1106 Display
  • SD Card
    • Minimum recommended storage size is 8GB
    • Note that Raspberry Pi model 3 or higher takes a micro SD card
  • USB type C power supply

Assembly

This is the hardware assembly of kNOw SIGN:

  1. Connect the camera to the CSI port of the Raspberry Pi.
  2. Attach the OLED SH1106 display to the Raspberry Pi according to the configuration in the figure below.
  3. Insert the flashed SD card in the Raspberry Pi.
  4. Enable the camera functionality on your Raspberry Pi.
  5. Connect the power supply and you’re ready!
